The Fourth Fleet Academy Board, also called the Mellstoxx Academy Board, is the governing body of Starfleet Academy's satellite campus on Mellstoxx III. The current chair of the board is Commodore Ison Bale.

Responsiblities

The Fourth Fleet Academy Board is responsible for providing oversight of the academy's schools, departments, and other selected programs and activities. They implement and maintain high-quality education programs consistent with the academy's mission as well as Starfleet's and Fourth Fleet's Training Command policies they also conduct performance evaluations and develop a process that meets Starfleet's education standards.

Drawing on the wide-ranging experience and expertise of its members, the Board exerts broad influence over the academy's strategic directions, providing counsel to the academy's leadership on priorities and plans; each board member is assigned a school that includes several departments, programs, and offices. The leaders of those departments will then provide updates to the board members, which allows the board to have a comprehensive understanding of the academy's quality and direction.
