The Dragonfly Emissary Squadron is a powerful component of Task Force 72: Diplomatic Operations. It operates under the command of Fleet Captain Geronimo Fontana, Starfleet. Fleet Captain Fontana commands the division from the Squadron station, Starbase 406.

Mission

The Dragonfly Emissary Squadron primary mission is to diplomatically work with the varying colonies to ensure supplies are delivered, security is protected, and colonists are able to trust The Federation again after many years of being ignored or receiving low support bordering on cheap charity. The division focuses on limited tactical operations, extensive intelligence gathering, repeated and consistent diplomatic engagements, and focused relief missions to help improve regional Federation relationships.

Starbase 406 is home to the Dragonfly Emissary Squadron, which runs diplomatic and intervention operations in the surrounding systems and beyond to ensure system security.  Within the division is the USS Perseverance, which works primarily as a science vessel in tandem with Montana station's science labs to continue to explore the rimward edges and areas of Federation space.

These vessels work within the division to maintain stability, conduct diplomatic missions, and provide necessary support to local governments and civilian populations within the region.
