Terraforming Outpost 51, nicknamed Fogg Station, is a Jupiter-class research outpost in orbit of Naroli II, a planet located in the former Demilitarized Zone along the Federation-Cardassian border. Fogg Station is home to the Joint Terraforming Project, a cooperative effort between the Federation and the Cardassian Union to terraform Naroli II into a Class M planet suitable for colonisation. While many residents of the former DMZ are indifferent to the station's presence, some are opposed to it. The True Way has declared their intention to put a stop to the effort 'by any means necessary'.

Fogg station is also the nominal headquarters of Challenger Squadron, though the Squadron Commander is currently embarked onboard the Challenger. As a result, any data the squadron collects during it's exploration of the Gamma Quadrant is sent back to Fogg Station, where it is analysed by research teams not working on the terraforming project.

Leisure Facilities

While only a modest research outpost, Fogg Station is still well equipped to provide for the off duty needs of it's inhabitants and visitors. One of the middle saucers has been given over entirely to leisure facilites including a dozen holodecks, an arboretum, several gymnasiums, two replimats and a handful of small restaurants and coffee shops.

That Thing You Brew

That Thing You Brew is the largest and most popular coffee shop on Fogg Station, owned by a gregarious Bolian and his spouses. The shop itself is bright and airy with a high holographic ceiling that gives the impression of being outside. The simulated sky changes depending on the time of day and the computer randomly chooses a different planet's sky to simulate every day. Beyond just being a simple coffee shop, the owners hold regular open mic nights for people to come and show off their talent.
