Andorian
The Andorians are a warp-capable humanoid species from the moon Andoria, capital of the Andorian Empire. In 2161, their homeworld became a founding member of the United Federation of Planets. They are quite tall and strong compared to Humans, and their distinctive blue skin and antennae make them easily recognizable. Andorians' antennae are highly powerful sense organs and are essential for an individual's balance and perception; damage to these organs is extremely painful, but they are capable of regenerating with time. | ||||

Naming Conventions
Andorians often have names that are quite long, and they are addressed by a shortened version in conversations with non-Andorians. An Andorian's second name is usually appended with a prefix indicating the individual's gender and sex: sh'/zh' for women and ch'/th' for men, though this is not obligatory. |
